The physical therapists visited dad today and had him move his legs in all directions. He also had three regular meals but only nibbled at the food. He was alert and complaining about the food saying, "It is not worth a damn." Mom and I went to Sumter where she had a Reclast infusion for osteoporosis. We probably got back to the hospital around 5 pm. Dad was tired and dozing off so we left for the night.
Driving south on highway 261 I kept my speed down knowing that deer would be active. We passed Jordan headed south and I dimmed my lights for an oncoming car. Suddenly a deer appeared in the light just standing in the road. I hit the brakes and hit the deer at about 25 to 30 mph or less. The bang as we hit the deer was as loud as the blowout we had on the Florida Turnpike in our RV. We pulled into Lane's to check the damage. Cracked headlight and deer hair in the light. Called GEICO and we are lined up to check it out in Sumter in the morning. Another exciting day.
