Dozing off

Dad drifted in and out of reality today.  He slept most of the time but at one point he said he had to get his contacts off.  He has not worn contacts for years.  But, overall he mostly slept with brief periods of wakefulness when he did not make much sense.  However, when the doctor asked him where he was he knew exactly.  His long term memory is quite amazing but his short term memory is as he would put it, "Not worth a damn."
